Great strides made at 2017 Walk to Prevent Suicide
Rural Health Network’s Director of Marketing and Outreach, Lisa Sacco (left) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Claire Villate handed out vouchers for free one-on-one therapy, pinwheels, literature, fruit, water, and optimism on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at “Out of the Darkness”, a Walk to Prevent Suicide in Key West. Over 70 participants raised more than $17,000 in donations for the Key West chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, gaining sponsors and walking a three mile loop on College Road. Many thanks to gracious host and outstanding organizer, Mary Lou Hoover as well as all volunteers and participants, including the City of Key West Police and the Monroe County Sheriff’s office for helping make this crucial event a super success.
Flu shot clinic a tremendous success!
Members of “Your Hometown Team” from Rural Health Network joined forces with CVS pharmacist, Steve to help host a successful flu shot clinic at CVS @ Overseas Plaza on Saturday, November 11. Team members enjoyed delivering delicious hot dogs, frosty beverages, conversation and lots of smiles to all who attended. Thanks to all participants, including those not pictured.
